METACAM® (meloxicam oral suspension) is a veterinary prescription non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps control pain and inflammation due to osteoarthritis (OA) in dogs 6 months and older. OA is a painful condition caused by “wear and tear” of cartilage and other parts of the joints that may result in the following changes or signs in your dog: Limping or lameness, reluctance to run or climb stairs, stiffness or decreased movement of joints. METACAM comes in a liquid form, so it’s easy for you to give with the syringe that’s provided in the box. You can mix METACAM with your dog’s food. Ask your veterinarian about METACAM for dogs living with OA pain to help them find relief and get them back to doing the things they love.
